Attitudes towards writing.

When I started this quarter at school I thought my writing was very excellent.  Then after a few assignments I realized that it needed a lot of help.  I asked my roommates for help, peer-edits from classmates and I went to the writing center and they showed me most of my mistakes.  With all of the help that I have received, I am very confident about my writing.

Use in the future.

I do think that wordpress is a useful tool to exchange information and ideas.  It is more legitimate than facebook or myspace.  I may use it in the future because I do branch out from the other weblogs in the class and look and join discussions on other topics than were given in class.  I will keep using my weblog.

The rules are simple the author talks about a subject.  They give some basic information about the subject some can even give very detailed information.  Then they talk and give there opinion on the subject.  They can express their true opinion on these subject and ask for feedback if they so choose.

Academic vs. Popular

There can be many differences in a person’s writing when they are writing for a more academic audience than a popular one.  When somebody writes for a popular audience they can be more open with there style of writing.  I find when I write a letter to a friend or write a blog I don’t usually care about grammar and sentence structure.  I don’t care if a miss use a word or my sentence does not flow with what I am saying.  On the other hand when I write for an academic audience such as a paper or a editorial I use proper grammar, I watch more carefully what I say and how I say it and if it is relevant to what I am trying to say.

Evolution vs. Intelligent Design

Evolution should be taught in science classes, while if Intelligent Design is to be taught in schools it should be in a humanities class.  Evolution is of the two, the only one that can be tested.  Intelligent Design is an idea that has been around centuries before Evolution was even thought about.  Before schools taught Intelligent Design over Evolution back in the 1800’s but know Evolution is taught in schools.  Know though some states have been controversial laws allowing the teaching of both in schools
